Hycamite TCD Technologies - 25M€ Capital Raising Process

Grannenfelt Finance acted as the financial advisor to Hycamite TCD Technologies Oy in their 25M€ capital raising process. Japanese conglomerate Sojitz Group and Finnish family office Stephen Industries joined as new investors. The Finnish Climate Fund and existing investors HAI Kapital, Holdix, and Turret also participated in the funding round.

Hycamite is a fast-growing, and award-winning company founded in Kokkola, Finland in 2020 to fight climate change. By splitting methane Hycamite produces affordable clean hydrogen and solid, high-value industrial-grade carbon products. Hycamite’s technology is a thermo-catalytic decomposition (TCD) process based on its proprietary family of catalysts. The technology is built upon 20+ years of research at the University of Oulu. Main customers are onsite industrials and the marine sector, where Hycamite offers fast decarbonization solutions.

Clean hydrogen is playing a significant role in the energy landscape, and the need for cost-effective low-carbon energy innovations has never been more apparent. While many low-carbon hydrogen solutions exist, they often face challenges related to cost, scalability, and efficiency – challenges that can be solved with Hycamite technology.
